UFO sightings continued to occur into the 1970s. Early in the morning on September 19, 1976 a UFO was observed by several people over Iranian airspace, near the city of Tehran. Multiple jet fighters were scrambled to intercept the UFO, and what resulted was one of the most well-documented and convincing UFO sightings that have ever occurred, the Tehran UFO Incident.
The 1976 Tehran UFO Incident was a strange experience for many, and even resulted in reports making their way to the U.S. intelligence agencies and all the way to the White House. The object was described as rectangular, or cylindrical in shape, and exhibited some strange qualities, even reportedly changing shapes according to some witnesses. The UFO was separating into multiple parts, before reassembling and again changing form, all the while changing speed and direction.
The scrambled jets then attempted to intercept the UFO, but were unable to keep up. Despite the fact the Phantom II was supposed to be among the fastest jets in the world at the time. The object was able to accelerate away from the jets with ease. To further confuse things, every time the jets approached the object, they would lose functionality of navigational aids and communication abilities.
Then a radar operator was able to obtain a lock on the UFO while one of the jets was still in pursuit. He observed that it was likely the size of a Boeing 707, and maintaining a distance of 25 nautical miles from the pursuing jet.

Suddenly, a smaller object detached itself from the larger UFO and headed straight for the Phantom jet at a high speed. Out of fear, the pilot attempted to launch a missile, but was unable to do so. He then attempted to eject, but that function was not working either. Luckily, the smaller object only circled around the jet, and all of the jet’s instrumentation reportedly started working again. Somehow, the malfunction appeared to fix itself.
It is not easy to dismiss the Tehran UFO incident, based on the number and quality of supporting reports, and the fact that a man-made aircraft was so easily affected by the UFO. If it is true that some UFOs can shut down our vehicles, is that not an important national security issue? Either way, it goes a long way to support the case that UFOs Are Real.

So is the amount of documentation supporting the 1976 Tehran UFO incident enough to convince you that some UFOs are real, physical craft? Should the extraterrestrial hypothesis be contemplated in this case, considering it has been suggested by numerous involved with the Tehran UFO Incident?
